Sara is the Principal at Arnold Hills and holds a Master of Applied Law (Family Law) from the College of Law.

Prior to establishing Arnold Hills, Sara practised for several years at a specialist family law firm in Sydney. During this time, she worked closely with the firm's Principal, a highly regarded Australian family law practitioner. She also worked alongside senior family law barristers, representing clients in highly contentious parenting matters and high-net-worth property disputes before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Sara is a certified collaborative family law practitioner and assists clients who wish to resolve their family law matters through collaborative practice, a structured and less adversarial process centred on constructive negotiation, cooperation and the pursuit of carefully considered outcomes, with the aim of resolving matters without court proceedings.

Sara is a compassionate family lawyer who takes the time to listen and explain the law and available options in clear terms. She provides honest and practical advice to help clients understand likely outcomes and make informed decisions about their future.

For Sara, the most rewarding aspect of practising family law is guiding clients through complex and uncertain circumstances towards clarity, stability and greater peace of mind.

Sara's broader legal experience includes several years as Head of Legal at a global software company, where she negotiated complex cross border commercial agreements and advised on strategic business transactions, SaaS and other licensing arrangements, technology development and collaboration arrangements, API services, intellectual property protection, privacy and data compliance, employment law matters, GDPR, TISAX and broader regulatory and compliance matters.

Sara's commercial background also complements her family law practice, providing valuable insight where personal and commercial interests intersect. This experience enables her to advise business owners and clients with complex commercial interests, corporate structures and significant assets.

Sara loves being a mum and spending time with her husband and their children. She can often be found cheering on her children from the sidelines at their sporting activities or discovering new restaurants and sharing good food with her husband, their family and friends.
